Bass Rutten could kill Chuck Norris blindfolded.

This week I've started using Flash to do the majority of the art on the comic. I like how it makes nice smooth lines for outlines.

For those confused the characters in the 'people who can't swim' area of the comic are: top left - Tommy Vercetti, top right - Spiderman, bottom left - Hello Kitty, and bottom right - Altair from Assassins Creed.

I gotta ask, how many of you have HDTV's out there? Well, if you do have you ever tried going back and playing a game on Standard Definition? Its harder, eh? Going back and playing Call of Duty 4 on an SDTV this weekend I realized that I now require the details that HD shows in order to see the little things like faces among bushes and gleams of light on weapons in order to find and kill enemies. I never thought that'd happen to me, that'd I'd develop such snobbery and bias. Now I don't know if I'll ever be rid of it. Sad but true dudes, sad but true.

Dave's Game Reviews

MARIO GALAXY

Well, picked this game up cause I couldn't find any Guitar Hero 3 bundles, which was my other choice. No regrets here though, this game is amazing in every aspect.

Graphics:

Graphical wise I dont think i've seen better on Wii (maybe Metroid, it's probably close) either way they look great, no glitches at all so far (only up to 29 stars so got a bit to go, 120 in total I believe).

Music:

Outstanding music, remixed tracks from previous Mario games (my personal favorite is the Airship Armada from Mario 3 on the NES, close second is Mario 64 Bowser level music)

Story:

Well suprise suprise, Bowser kidnapped the Princess again, I think by now its more a running gag then anything. Explains the Stars from the Mario series a bit (though other games have done the same, like SMRPG and I think Paper Mario 64) but its to be expected really. Luckily the Mario series leans on great gameplay and the story isnt too important.

Gameplay:

Nintendo did it again, I can not find a bad thing to say about the controls, they are comfortable and tight. The gravity and running upside down can take some getting used to but the games early levels get you well adjusted.

Extras:

They put in a couple cool side "galaxies" with little challenges or fun games, like surfing on a manta ray or rolling on a ball, these are fun and well done. They also put in a 2nd player option which needs another remote. It adds another pointer to the screen which can help Mario by pushing or stopping enemies, grabing star bits, shooting star bits and helping Mario jump higher. I have not tried this out yet but sounds fun and more enjoyable then sitting and watching.

Final Thoughts:

I"ll just say it, if you say this is a bad game you either are a stone cold liar, or have a bias against Nintendo or 3d platformers, frankly im not a big fan of this genre as the only two I like (nay LOVE), are Mario 64 and this game. This is one of the best executed games I've seen since Portal and HL2:Ep2.

Bottom line, if you like 3d platformers/adventures/Mario games and own a Wii GET THIS GAME NOW
