Ninja Gaiden II is so much easier than the last one. I started playing it on the path of the warrior difficulty setting and so far I have only experienced a fraction of the skull melting rage that I felt playing Ninja Gaiden 1. I’m only a few hours in, but the combat seems less satifying to me. It’s been sped up and the blocking doesn’t seem to do as much as it used to. The game is still fun though, and at this point I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend that you rent it.
But man, do I hate the archers.

What is Ninja Gaiden without face-melting, controller throwing, beating a baby with a stray cat rage induced by a level of difficulty so challenging it makes keeping lindsay lohan off of crack and out of rehab look easy.
