A 7 part Halo anime series will be released on DVD and Xbox Live in early 2010. Because apparently Microsoft doesn’t realize that their main demographic for Halo is people who have never seen anime in their lives.

The best part of this announcement though is the quote from Frank O’Connor “If you look at how George Lucas held on to ‘Star Wars,’ not just to make money from action figures but to control the direction the universe went in, you can see why we think it’s pretty vital.”

Comparing your decisions to George Lucas’ is never a good idea, dude.
