Taking a look at the metacritic score of Uncharted 2 one can see that reviewers really like the game. It’s not surprising given how good the first one was.
The first Uncharted for me felt like a grand adventure, a continuation of the spirit of excitement and exploration and melodrama of the old Indiana Jones movies. That sense is intrinsic to many of my favorite works of fiction, be it the webcomic Rice Boy or Philip Wylie’s novel Gladiator or the television show Lost. The sequel looks to increase the scope of the adventure by taking you to different lands and up the excitement with terrain and buildings that collapse around you and better, more dynamic firefights. Developers: this is how you make a videogame.
I just can’t wait to play it.
