This is what I fear will happen to the franchise. Hopefully we’ll get something akin to Batman Begins but I have my doubts that Sony will be able to pull it off.

Plz Plz Zac Efron Can’t be Spidey… A lot of people’s goin’ to hate him :’(
I would love to see them redo Spidey with a proper casting but Zac Efron being the first rumour already makes me look forward to this about as much as having my testicles shaved by a weed whacker.
Perhaps they will go all the way back to the good old days when Spidey was shown over and over doing the same swings through the city, and the only way to beat a new villain was to make better web fluid.
just going out there and saying it: spiderman = worst hero ever. Shortbus was was better (and by Shortbus I mean Cyclops).
While I would agree that Cyclops is kickass, Spider-Man is pretty awesome himself.
