For those of you who might be unfamiliar, the gulf oil spill is essentially a busted pipe that is leaking massive amounts of oil into the ocean every day.

The attempts so far to solve this problem have failed and the idiots at BP are now considering shooting garbage into the pipe to clog it, among other things.

Kirby is the ultimate solution. He can take as much oil as this pipe can throw at him and as we all know, he’s not especially a finicky gourmand.

By the way, this is the second appearance of Obama in the strip and the eighth appearance of Kirby in the strip.
