I’ve been playing Split Second a lot today. I had to pry myself away from it to make this comic, something for which my trigger finger thanked me greatly.
It really is like Hydro Thunder for the Dreamcast in that you almost constantly have to keep the accelerator depressed which results in finger pain. On the Dreamcast it was worse though, as you couldn’t switch to another finger easily because of the way the controller was designed. In Split Second I find myself switching between my index and middle fingers mid race.
It makes me remember fondly the Burnout games where you could control your acceleration with the right analog stick. Ahhhhhh…
Besides that though the game is really quite fun and exciting. It’s got good, arcadey handling and some neat modes and constantly changing, beautiful tracks. Worth a rental I’d say.

It could just be my imagination… but those two characters look familiar. lol
I think you’ve been hitting the peyote a little too hard there Gerry. It’s time to get some help, my friend.
For the sake on continuity, Blur better be even worse then this.
Huh?
Read the article I posted in the forums on how every company that ever made fun of Nintendo to advertise is now owned/being owned by them.
For the sake of making sense SuperShadowAce… while the article you reference is interesting, it has no purpose being brought up for this comic and it’s explanation.
I state this because Blur was not mentioned, nor was this an attempt to mock Nintendo.
